 Sand-Rock transit, Inc. was founded in 1986 as an aggregate distribution terminal served by CSX Transportation. We are located in West Midtown Atlanta. This is adjacent to Howells yard which is the major terminal for CSXT.. Aggregates include several sizes of river gravel, concrete sand, and masonry sand. Our concrete sand is supplied to all nearby ready-mix concrete plants and is our highest volume product. To service this high-volume business, we have under lease 126 Trinity Rail open top hopper cars that hold 114 tons each. These cars move from Alabama by way of CSX. Our river gravel also comes from Alabama. We stock four sizes of gravel and supply landscape supply dealers, roofers, truckers and individuals. Our second location is Agg-Tran, LLC, which is in Cartersville, Ga. Right off I-75 at exit 293. Agg-Tran supplies all of the aggregates as does Sand-Rock Transit, and is the only producer of dolomitic agricultural limestone in Georgia. Both companies are very fortunate to be located in high growth areas of Georgia. Our volume is constantly expanding and we feel very well prepared for the future with our loyal customers. |
